ARUBA – BONAIRE – CURACAO  (Dutch
Caribbean)
The three leeward islands, known as ABC
Islands, are located just about 45 miles off South
America  – outside the hurricane belt. And, you
can expect sunshine 360 days a year. Aruba with
its outstanding coral sand beaches, great
accommodation & dining. Bonaire hosting world
class Scuba Diving and Curacao providing a bit
of all what’s best about the Caribbean.
BAHAMAS The Bahamas archipelago comprises
some 700 islands, including top ranked
destinations like Harbor Island and Paradise
Island, with its spectacular Atlantis Beach Tower
resort. Bahamas has it all, including a variety of
championship Golf courses and all Water sports.
On more remote “Out Islands” an escorted eco
tour is the way to encounter pristine nature and
wildlife.
BARBADOS The small castaway island is
Caribbean’s eastern outpost in the Atlantic. Once
ruled by the Brits, English tradition is still very
evident – like magnificent Great Houses and the
habit of driving to the left. Downtown Bridgetown
offer irresistible Duty Free Shopping. Trade
marks of Barbados are Golfing and – of course –
Barbados Rum.
BELIZE We decide to include Belize to the
Caribbean destinations, by the simple fact that a
substantial part of this mid Central America
state constitutes of more than 200 cays in the
Caribbean Sea. World’s second largest barrier
reef is located just half a mile off island
Ambergris. Adventurous minded travelers must
not miss Indian culture, wildlife and birding in
Toledo district
BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS (BVI)
Having landed on main island Tortola, you are
surrounded by a cluster of small paradise
islands. Compared to its next-door neighbor, US
Virgin Islands, you find everything at small scale
here. Nevertheless, BVI offer tremendous and
beautiful sailing – being the home of Caribbean
sailboat chartering, including luxurious crewed
charters.
JAMAICA Harry Belafonte and Bob Marley are
names intimately connected to Jamaica. Johnny
Cash and June Carter found their privacy on
“Island in the sun”. Classic resorts provide the
best service and attention. Just relax, and let the
bamboo gondola take the two of you slowly
down the river… then tee-time at Cinnamon Hill
or White Witch. Convinced?
PUERTO RICO It’s not only the Bacardi Rum
attracting tourists to Puerto Rico. Historic district
of Old San Juan is certainly a reason to go
there. On Puerto Rico one knows what it takes
to please demanding vacationers in terms of
accommodation, dining and service: Puerto
Rico lo hace major! (Puerto Rico does it better!).
And, don’t forget to visit Vieques & Culebra.
ST.MAARTEN / ST.MARTIN Shared between
Netherlands Antilles and France the difference
in culture (and language) on the two halves is
striking. Not surprisingly, most exquisite dining
is to be found on the French side, whilst
shopping and nightlife is hotter on the Dutch
side. Heineken Sailing Regatta being an
annual top event.
TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
T’n’T is Steel band and Carnival. But, it is very
much about nature, recognized as one of the
world’s best destinations for birding. Explore
the last of the not yet spoilt Caribbean –
Tobago rain forest. It’s not for nothing; Tobago
became Robinson Crusoe’s isle, with its
pristine coral reefs embedded with rich marine
life. Absolute Caribbean, you can say.
US VIRGIN ISLANDS Former Danish West
Indies islands St. Thomas, St. Croix and St.
John are now labeled America’s Caribbean
Paradise. Culturally diverse and ethnically rich
the trio islands belong to the most beautiful
places to encounter. Magens Bay Beach,
Cruzan Rum distillery and St. John National
Park all add value to your Caribbean vacation.
